HELP!

I went out a couple weekends ago, i was pretty drunk.i fell in love with the bartenders looks and couldnt help myself.i told him that i thought he looked gorjus and asked for his number.i asked for his name and he said you have to text me to find out.so iv been texting him and i met up with him for tea once but i was so shy i didnt no what to say.i dont no if hes interested and i dont want to ask without sounding needy or clingy or anything.i havent txt him because i thought mayb i play hard to get?? he texts me every couple days but we havent got much to talk about...any advice?
